DYNASTY AND DIVINITY: IFE ART IN ANCIENT NIGERIA
New York, NY (2009)

Museoplan planned and designed this exhibition, co-organized by the Museum for African Art and the Fondación Botin of Santander, as the inaugural show for the new MfAA. The extraordinary collection of Yoruba art from the ancient capital of Ife includes works in bronze, stone and terracotta from the 12th – 15th centuries. Working directly with the Chief Curator of the MfAA, Museoplan developed an original modular display system, designed to present the greatest number of works in the round, as well as a flexible set of suspended panels to organize the circuit through the gallery.
